Ergo Yoga Space offering the community a free monthly yoga practice at the Merri Creek, Edna Grove, Coburg East (Big tree by Joe’s Market Garden).

An inclusive practice for all abilities and ages to promote your well being. BYO mat and water bottle. All are welcome.

Sound Bath with Kate

Sunday 22nd September, 4.30pm - 5.30pm

Kate Archdeacon creates a beautiful soundscape using Tibetan singing bowls, voice, tar drum and wind gong to provide this blissful experience.

Rest back and settle in to the tones, harmonies and rhythms that take us on a journey from relaxing and releasing to reforming & grounding.

Kids Yoga Workshop

Monday 23rd September, 1pm - 3pm

For 8-11 year olds.
A fun and creative workshop. Learning movement and yoga posture for expression, coordination & confidence. Includes breath work for self regulation and a deep relaxation (yoga nidra).
Teacher Simone Litchfield has decades of experience teaching yoga and dance to children of all abilities.

Yoga & Sculpture Workshop

Sunday 29th September, 11am - 4pm

Yoga and Sculpture is s collaborative workshop with Ceramicist Elnaz Nourizadeh & Yoga Teacher Simone Litchfield. We use yoga and clay to ‘connect' and explore form, culminating with the creation of your own abstract figurative sculpture.

Sculptures will be glazed and fired for you after the workshop.

No prior skills required, however experience also welcome.

Extended Open Practice

Sunday 22nd September, 2pm - 4pm

This vinyasa workshop will warm and energise, so your body becomes ready to explore some advanced asana including inversions and arm balances with Simone Litchfield (EYS). We will deconstruct some postures and look at adjustments for individuals. Then complete a full vinyasa practice including these postures. Suitable for experienced physical practitioners. Some complex and less complex alternative postures will be offered.

Relaxed and informative childbirth education on a Sunday afternoon.

Joanne Terry - Mother, Midwife (Bmid), Childbirth Education Specialist and Lactation Consultant, IBLCE qualified.

Jo will guide you through normal labour and birth, pain management, optimal positioning, breastfeeding and settling a baby. She will discuss some common interventions and how to make decisions that are right for you and your baby. Meet others who are having babies in a face to face, fun, calm environment.

The space allows for physical distancing and all equipment used for activities is thoroughly cleaned.

DRONE SOUND MEDITATION

Sunday tbc, 12pm - 1pm

Anthony Artmann’s drone sound meditation uses synthesizers to create a deeply immersive and transformative experience. By blending various electronic tones and textures, Artmann crafts a continuous soundscape that encourages deep relaxation and heightened awareness.

Chairs and yoga props are available for your comfort in this still or moving meditation. 10 class pass inclusive.

Yoga Fundamentals Workshop

Simone Litchfield (EYS) will take you through the fundamentals of yoga using Yoga Synergy Methods. Learn how YSM are informed by the essence of yoga, anatomy and physiology and can be used in all styles of yoga practice. Entwining mindfulness, posture, breath, sensation, movement, sound and meditation, to realise homeostasis in this complete practice for your well being. Asanas (postures) are taught progressively - simple to more complex options. Beginners and experienced practitioners are welcome.

Yoga & Writing Masterclass

Sunday tbc, 9.30am - 1pm

Facilitated by Dr Oliver Shaw -Teacher, Writer, & Artist who has published, performed and shown his work locally and internationally. He has a particular interest in writing ‘life’ and his Masterclass will draw from his PhD work. Writing after yoga offers a profound experience; accessing and expressing the knowledge that comes from the body and turning that into beautiful words. This workshop, focuses on utilising the connection between the body and words.
